The largest Low Risk Covid-19 Centre (LRCC) in the Northern Region was set up n Jawi with the assistance of Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society members who worked relentlessly to complete the project.

They contributed manpower of 54 members help set-up the beds and other utilities at the centre.

They were also assisted by another nine nn-governmental organisations (NGO) and 11 medical assistants. The LRCC houses some 1,000 beds.

Malaysian Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits society Commissioner, Khoo Boo Leong added that the set up was participated by a total of 73 people.

“We have started preliminary preparations since last Friday and completed by 2pm yesterday, (March 10),” said Khoo.

Both blocks with total four floors are being used to set up the beds. The capacity in this LRCC is almost double from the previous ones.

He also added that 17 canopies had been erected for use by JKN.

LRCC is being used for low risk Covid-19 patients for quarantine and treatment.
