The Capri by Fraser Penang marked its soft opening earlier today in George Town, with the occasion attended by the owner’s family members, close friends, and invited guests.

The latest addition to Penang’s growing hospitality landscape, the 22-storey hotel residence is strategically located along Jalan Magazine, just minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage enclave and key city attractions.

The property is led by general manager Ivan Khoo.

Capri by Fraser Penang features 248 contemporary rooms and serviced residences, ranging from deluxe guestrooms and studio units to one-bedroom executive and premier apartments designed for both short and extended stays. Selected room categories come with kitchenettes, integrated living and dining spaces, as well as bathtubs for added comfort.

Among the hotel’s lifestyle facilities are The Den social hub, a sheltered swimming pool, jacuzzi, 24-hour gymnasium with yoga room, Spin & Play launderette and games room, meeting and event spaces, as well as an all-day dining restaurant and bar. The property also offers EV charging stations and is pet-friendly on selected floors.

With its opening, Capri by Fraser Penang further strengthens the island’s expanding portfolio of international hospitality brands, catering to both leisure and business travellers seeking modern city stays in the heart of George Town
