Penang made a big presence at the recently concluded MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur 2024 to promote its tourism products and attractions.
The fair was held at the MIDEC Kuala Lumpur.
Lending support to the Penang State booth was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai and his team.
Also present was Penang Global Tourism (PGT) chief executive officer, Ooi Chok Yan, Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Penang chapter chairman Ms Carolyn Leong among others.
Other than making a visit to the Penang booth and other nearby booths, they also made new acquaintances in the industry.
The fair also showcased several booths from neighbouring countries and states.
Other participants were from the various state tourism agencies, cruise industry, airlines and international participants.
Meanwhile, the MATTA Fair Penang will be held from April 27 to 28, 2024 at the SPICE Arena.
Already, some 250 local and international participants have registered to set up their booths. The organisers are confident that they can hit the 300 booths mark by the closing date.
