As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd delivered 100 packs of Raya cookies and goodies to orphanages here.
The homes were Rumah Jagaan Kebajikan Nasyiatul Aisyiyah and Rumah Anak Kesayangan which received 100 packs of the food items.
The homes are located in Balik Pulau and Tasek Gelugor respectively.
On hand to handover the packets was Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd chief executive officer, Muhammad Yazurin Sallij Muhammad Yasin and Rapid Bus Northern Region chief, Ahmad Shabuddin Abdullah.
“This programme will help to foster goodwill and better relationships with the children. We also hope that the initiative will bring cheer to them”, said Muhammad Yazurin.
Rumah Pertubuhan Kebajikan Nasyiatul Aisyiyah has been in operation for the past 28 years while Rumah Anak Kesayangan has been in operation for the past five years and has been caring for the orphans from the ages of four to 12 years.
Both homes expressed their gratitude and sincere thanks to the Rapid Bus management team.
Rapid Penang also emphasised their commitment to care for the needy community from time to time.
