After a hiatus of several years, the G Hotel Group made a grand return with its highly anticipated G Ball corporate gala.
This year, some 250 guests comprising corporate partners, consul-generals, well-wishers, supporters and friends gathered for an evening of celebration.
Guests embraced the colourful dress code, adding vibrancy to a night filled with fine dining, entertainment and camaraderie.
In his welcome address, G Hotel general manager Michael Hanratty shared that the last G Ball was held in 2019, making this year’s event a particularly meaningful occasion.
“The return of the G Ball is a wonderful opportunity for us to reconnect and celebrate the partnerships that have shaped our journey,” he said.
“Every room booked, every event entrusted to us, every recommendation made, every meeting held, every wedding celebrated and every guest you have sent our way has played a part in our journey, and we never take that for granted.
“The hospitality industry has experienced significant changes in recent years. Markets continue to evolve, competition continues to intensify and new challenges emerge every day. Yet one thing has remained constant — the importance of strong relationships.
“Over the past year, we have continued investing in our hotels, our facilities, our technology and, most importantly, our people. Whether it has been enhancing the guest experience, introducing new initiatives, upgrading our event capabilities or strengthening our service culture, every decision has been made with one purpose — to serve you better.”
Michael also paid tribute to his dedicated team members for their unwavering commitment and support. In closing, he expressed his appreciation to the group’s corporate clients, travel partners, event organisers, government agencies, media partners, suppliers and friends for standing by G Hotel through every milestone.
As guests enjoyed dinner, they were entertained by popular stand-up comedian Harith Iskandar, whose performance kept the audience laughing throughout the evening. A live band later took to the stage, keeping the celebratory atmosphere going well into the night.
The evening concluded on a high note with an exciting lucky draw featuring attractive prizes, including hotel stay vouchers, flight tickets and a grand prize of a 75-inch TCL television.
The night concluded with guests taking to the dance floor and showing off their fancy steps.
