Jazz Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Hendry Tan as its new Hotel Manager, bringing with him over two decades of experience in Malaysia’s hospitality industry.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Hendry has built a distinguished career spanning hotel sales, marketing and operations, having held key leadership positions across renowned hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Kota Bharu. 

His strong commercial background, coupled with his operational expertise, positions him well to lead Jazz Hotel into its next phase of growth while enhancing the overall guest experience.

Before joining Jazz Hotel, Hendry served as Hotel Manager of Abby Hotel Ipoh, where he was responsible for overseeing the hotel’s daily operations, service excellence and business performance. Throughout his career, he has also held senior sales and marketing appointments, including Director of Sales and Marketing at Weil Hotel Ipoh, Renaissance Kota Bharu, Sunway Putra Hotel and Ixora Hotel. His extensive knowledge of hospitality management, revenue generation and customer engagement has earned him a reputation as a results-driven and people-focused hotelier.

A graduate of Taylor’s College under the South Australian Matriculation programme, Hendry believes that genuine hospitality begins with building meaningful relationships. He enjoys meeting people from diverse backgrounds and values creating memorable experiences for both guests and colleagues alike. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer who appreciates the balance and discipline the sport brings to his professional life.
