The Cono Sur wine range from Chile was on offer for guests at the 2PM Lounge at G Kelawai Hotel last night. 

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery from the South American continent produces a wide range of outstanding red and white wine. 

Presenting the wine range was Luis Henriquez, Market Owner, Asia Pacific took the opportunity to explain the intricacies of the different Cono Sur wine range. He hails from Santiago and is now based in Shanghai, China.

Guests embarked on a journey to enjoy the fine taste of Cono Sur and the wine pairing dinner put out by the F&B team from the hotel.

Starting off the evening was the Cono Sur Tocornal Sauvignon Blanc 2022 paired with a wide range of canapes. And as guests settled down for their dinner, they were served with the Cono Sur Tocornal Chardonnay 2022 with their first appetizer Salmon Gravlax garnished with beetroot, dill, and vinaigrette.

The second appetizer, Lemongrass Chicken came with the Cono Sur Bicicleta Reserva Gewurztraminer 2022 as guests mingled to savour the wine.

This was followed by the Cono Sur Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon N 18 2020 paired with Pistachio Lamb Rack topped with Red Rice Risotto, Garden Greens along with Garlic and Leeks Puree.

Meanwhile, the second main course was either the Cheek Bourguignon paired with the Cono Sur Single Vineyard 8 Grapes 2019 and Cono Sur 20 Barrels Carmenere 2022.

Another option was the Seafood Thermidor of Lobster, Prawn, Scallops paired with the Cono Sur Tocornal Chardonnay 2022. The finale was the Cono Sur Bicicleta Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2022 with desserts. 

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery are the first vineyard in Chile to produce premium pinot noir and also the first to export the variety. They are made from organically grown grapes sourced from the Colchagua and San Antonio and Bio Bio Valleys.

The splendid evening was brought together by the team from Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits Sdn Bhd.
