Penang Hyperlocal offers a brief insight into the Christmas and New Year celebrations taking place in the enchanted island of Langkawi this year.
Those planning to take a long awaited holiday there will benefit from this guide.
We start off with the Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang which brings its Christmas Eve Christmas (Dec 24) dinner at its 99 Islands Bar on the ground floor of the popular hotel.
Guests can indulge in the festive dinner from 6.30pm to 10pm priced at RM150nett (adults) with good drinks and food. There is also a 15 per cent for early birds (before Dec 20th) and the RM85 nett pricing (above 60 years)
There is also the Christmas day lunch at their Rice Garden on level 3 from 12pm to 4pm. The promotion is priced at 150nett (adult). Senior citizens can enjoy the lunch at RM85 (those above 60 and above)

Next, the Aloft Langkawi Pantai Tengah is bringing its Xmas cheers with its theme “Crackin Christmas” promotion. They bring their Christmas Eve and Christmas Day buffet with their “Shellabrate” promotion with lots of seafood galore.
There are Japanese oysters sashimi, along with roasted turkey on the menu. Then there is the Angus prime rib along with loads of festive desserts to go along with your meal. Lucky diners stand to win during the lucky draw session too. The promotion is priced at RM188 nett per person for Christmas Eve buffet dinner and RM118 for Christmas Day dinner. Over at the Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi, they bring their Christmas Eve dinner with a plethora of local and international dishes for guests to partake in.
They also offer the traditional barbeque dinner at RM250 nett (adult) and RM100 nett (child). However, the early bird offer is priced at RM200 (adult) till Dec 20 bookings.
On Christmas Day they bring their Christmas Day brunch at RM90 nett (adult) and Christmas Day roast & BBQ buffet dinner at RM180 nett (adult) and RM90 nett (child).
