Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Wong Hon Wai, officiated the grand opening ceremony of V-Convention 2025, held at the Setia SPICE Arena, Penang.

The event drew an impressive turnout of approximately 10,000 participants from across the globe, including delegates from Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, the UAE, the Philippines, Ghana, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Switzerland, France and many more.

The V-Convention, organised by The V and QNET, marks its 15th edition in Penang, underlining the island’s continued role as a hub for global networking, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the direct selling industry.

Prominent figures in attendance included Q1 founder Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran, Q1 Group founding director and deputy chairman Joseph Bismark, along with senior leaders and team members from QNET and The V.

In his welcoming address, Wong expressed his delight at hosting yet another successful V-Convention in Penang and extended a warm welcome to all international delegates.

“The V-Convention has evolved into one of the most vibrant and eagerly anticipated gatherings in the global direct selling and entrepreneurship calendar,” said Wong.

“Tonight, as we look around this packed arena of 10,000 delegates from over 30 countries, we are reminded of the true power of connection, vision, and shared purpose.”

Wong commended the founders and leadership of QNET and The V for their unwavering commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and creating lasting impact through innovation, education, and community-building.

He also noted Penang’s pride in being the host of the V-Convention for over 13 consecutive years, reflecting the state’s ongoing commitment to fostering international business tourism and cultural exchange.

“Each year, this convention has grown in strength and spirit—bringing together people from across continents to learn, inspire, and celebrate success. I encourage all of you to take time to explore Penang’s rich heritage, delicious cuisine, and scenic beauty during your stay here,” Wong added.

In line with the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign, the event also featured a special appearance by Wira and Manja, the official mascots of the nationwide tourism initiative, further reinforcing Penang’s position as a top destination for both leisure and business tourism.

Throughout the evening, delegates were treated to a spectacular showcase of music, dance, and cultural performances, highlighting the vibrancy of Malaysia’s multicultural heritage.

Attendees also gained insights and motivation from speeches delivered by Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran and Joseph Bismark, who shared their perspectives on leadership, resilience, and purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
