It may have been the Merdeka Day holidays but the former students of the SM Convent Light School in Georgetown, Penang took the opportunity to celebrate at their reunion dinner gathering.
They were from the Class of 1989 as the former classmates of the alma mater came from far and near.
Some of them were even from as far as Singapore, India and Kuala Lumpur.
In all, some 50 of them managed to attend the get-together held at the DoubleTree By Hilton Penang.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter, joyful conversation and excitement as the school mates rekindled their old school day memories.
As they caught up with the latest developments in their career and family life, they enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and posed for the camera to treasure the fond memory.
The organising chairman of the get-together was Ms Lena Oh former head prefect of the school along with Ms Tan Suan Bee, Quennie Soon and Ong Tze Ean.
The reunion also served to rekindle fond memories of their school days and all the good times they have had.
Some of them were even classmates from kindergarten days.
By the end of the night, they parted ways only to make a promise of organizing another catch-up session next year.
