Some 2,000 participants braved the morning drizzle to take part in the I Love Malaysia Walk from Beach Street in Georgetown earlier today.
The fun walk covered an area of 5km taking walkers through the heritage and scenic places in the city.
The event also honours the 60th anniversary of Malaysia.
On hand to flag-off the event was Penang Island City Council Mayor Dato A Rajendran.
The unity walk is also to mark the unity, harmony and peace in Malaysia.
Many brought along their kids to join in the walk. Participants also took part in a Zumba session after the walk.
