New Zealand-based Dog Point Vineyard hosted a premium wine tasting session at the picturesque The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi which is famous for its awesome and captivating sunsets.

The gathering was hosted by Matt Sutherland, general manager and owner of Dog Point Vineyard.

The 30 odd guests were from the various hotels, resorts and food and beverage establishments on the island who were treated to some excellent range of wines. 

Starting off the evening with a glass of Dog Point Vineyard sauvignon blanc marlborough 2020 served shunde styel yee sang along with a special sauce.

This was followed by the braised fish soup and the fried cod fish accompanied by the Dog Point Vineyard section 94 sauvignon blanc marlborough 2020.  

As guests savoured the cod fish, the next speciality was the fried homemade seafood bean curd accompanied by the Dog Point Vineyard chardonnay marlborough 2020. 

Chef Tan explained the creation of each fusion dish which was paired with the wine range.

Founded in 2002, Dog Point Vineyard has been recognized as among the very top wine producers in New Zealand.  

Their two very different Sauvignon Blancs, their Pinot Noir and their Chardonnay are all wines of astounding quality and complexity.

Their wines are hand-crafted from estate fruit grown on some of the oldest vines and best sites in Marlborough, some plantings dating back to the 1970s.
