As the Lunar New Year approaches, The Millen Penang Autograph Collection steps into the season with its inaugural Chinese New Year celebration, unveiling a thoughtfully designed festive journey that blends time-honoured traditions with contemporary elegance. From intimate reunion feasts and prosperity rituals to lively cocktail evenings and grand banquet affairs, The Millen invites guests to celebrate the Year of the Horse in a setting defined by warmth, style, and abundance.
At the heart of the celebration is Lili, Level 2, where families and friends are invited to gather from 16 to 18 February for specially curated Chinese New Year set menus crafted to honour reunion and good fortune. The Auspicious Reunion Set Lunch (RM168 per person, 12pm to 2.30pm) showcases comforting and celebratory flavours prepared by Chef Thin and his team, featuring Fortune Nourishing Chicken Soup with Wild Brazil Mushroom, Salt-Braised Village Chicken of Prosperity, Prosperity Braised Sea Treasures with Broccoli, Golden Cantonese Fried Rice with Waxed Meat, and Golden Mango Sago Mousse Delight, accompanied by Chinese tea.

Evenings at Lili take on a more indulgent tone with the Golden Splendour Set Dinner (RM268 per person, 6pm to 10pm). Designed for festive evenings and meaningful toasts, the menu highlights Double-Boiled Morel Mushroom and Black Chicken Nourishing Soup, Traditional-Style Smoked Duck Leg with Aromatic Herbs, Braised Abalone with Fish Lips and Flower Mushroom, Fragrant Lotus Leaf Rice with Assorted Waxed Meat, and Fortune Peach Gum with Longan and Snow Fungus Sweet Soup, served with Chinese tea.
No Lunar New Year celebration is complete without the ritual of tossing for prosperity. Guests may elevate their dining experience with The Millen’s Yee Sang selections, available as an add-on for both lunch and dinner. Options range from Vegetable Sliced Yee Sang (RM58) and Abalone Sliced Yee Sang (RM98) to the luxurious Prosperity Lobster Sashimi Yee Sang (RM138), ideal for sharing among two to four guests. Bottomless wine is also available at RM98 per person for those looking to toast the season in style.

Beyond the dining table, festivities continue at Good Society, Level 1, where Music & Mixology – Chinese New Year Edition runs from 17 January to 28 February. The celebration features three Lunar New Year–inspired cocktails—B.O.W, OOH! Long Iced Tea, and Tea-Riffic—available on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion at RM88. Paired with live music, the experience offers a vibrant and contemporary way to celebrate the season.
For grander gatherings, The Millen Penang’s Ballroom, Level 3, sets the stage for elegant Chinese New Year banquet celebrations from 1 February to 3 March. Ideal for corporate dinners and large family reunions, banquet packages include the Celestial Lunar Banquet at RM1,888 per table and the Imperial Fortune Banquet at RM2,388 per table, each offering a refined setting to welcome the new year with prosperity and grace.
With its debut Lunar New Year programme, The Millen Penang presents a celebration shaped by meaningful traditions, elevated flavours, and modern sophistication—inviting guests to begin the year with joy, reunion, and renewed abundance.
