The Datai Langkawi hosted a fine Sake and Wine dinner for a select group of guests and several hotel general managers here on the island also known as the Jewel of Kedah.
The fine gathering was organised by S. H Maju Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Kuheiji sake and wine.
Furthermore, the fine dining session was held around the resort’s swimming pool area under the bright moonlight accompanied by melodious live music presented by Tristiano Soliano and Diane.
Meanwhile, making his very first trip to Langkawi was the president of Banjo Jozo Co., Ltd, Mr Kuheiji Kuno himself along with his team.
The sake brand was founded in 1647 and has a rich history in the art of making sake over 15 generations.
In the words of Kuno, “Japanese sake is not only for Japanese food but also Western food too”.
As guests mingled and got to know each other, they were served with several varieties of sake and excellent wine selections to go with their meals.
Among them were the Domaine Kuheiji Crement, Domaine Kuheiji Blanc, Kuno Kuheiji Honten, Kamoshibito Kuheiji Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki Eau Du Desir and Kamoshibito Kuheiji Junmai Daiginjo Omachi Sauvage.
The resort also put out a fine seven-course dinner consisting of White and Yogurt followed.Scallop Crudo, Citrus Sweet Sour for starters. Then the Canadian Lobster with Melon.
More goodies were served in the likes of Pacific Oyster with Andaman Spice Emulsion, Saffran Risotto, Irish Duck, and Brunoise Green Apple and Celery Sorbet and Chocolate Sensation for desserts.
Kudos to the food & beverage department of the Datai Langkawi for the splendid job.
