South Korea’s Emerix Co Ltd plans to make further inroads in Penang.
Representatives from the company met up with Penang DCM 11 YB Jagdeep Singh Deo to discuss mutual interests in Komtar recently.
They were led by their chief executive officer, Willaim Lee to pay a courtesy call on Jagdeep.
The Emrix Malaysia Sdn Bhd is presently based in Batu Kawan.
They hope to expand their operations soon. Their new factory here is expected to be ready by 2027 to serve the semiconductor industry.
“Known as the Silicon Valley of the East, Penang is making new strides in this sector. Emerix has the expertise in developing flying probe technology.
“They are also one of the fastest-growing automation companies in the world in this field,” said Jagdeep.
The venture is also expected to provide job opportunities and boost the local economy.
