A select group of guests were treated to a range of fine French champagne and wine from the Famille Helfrich range in Langkawi.

They were hosted by their gracious hosts from France who are among the largest wine companies in the world.

The venue for the tasting session was on the catamaran named “Princess Mary”. Guests were reminded to put aside their work wear and dress down in casual shorts and sandals for the evening.

The event dubbed the “Famille Helfrich Wine Cruise”, set sail from the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club.

They set their course from the Yacht Club to the Andaman Sea where their host Mrs. Laurence Helfrich, owner of Les Grands Chais de France Group (GCF) was on hand to welcome her guests.

The backdrop of Langkawi’s famously seductive sunset out in the open sea only served to accentuate the journey.

With the free flow of great French red and white wine, there was much laughter and made good memories for guests.

In all, they had a chance to sample over 40 French wines of diverse styles, terroirs and stories as they sailed into the sunset. Not forgetting the selection of local bites and delicacies.

As they basked in the allure of Langkawi’s sunset and relished the evening was tailored to elevate your senses.

Also present was Maxime Boureille (Key Area Director South East Asia) and Ms LinLin Heckly (Key Account Manager South East Asia) from Les Grands Chais De France (GCF) all the way from Paris.

Others were Loh Beng Seng, Jack Low and Derrick Yee and of course Alfred Low from S H Maju Sdn Bhd who helped put together the wonderful evening.
