Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has recently announced the launch of four new routes to Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang, and Semarang, further strengthening its connectivity across Indonesia and the region.

These new services will commence progressively between December 2025 and February 2026, offering travelers greater access to some of the region’s most vibrant and scenic destinations.

This latest expansion underscores Scoot’s commitment to growing its presence in Southeast Asia and providing customers with more diverse and affordable travel options.

The announcement also aligns with the carrier’s ongoing fleet enhancement, centered around the modern and efficient Embraer E190-E2 jets.

What’s more, Scoot is the first airline to operate the Embraer E190-E2 in Southeast Asia.

Scoot currently operates seven Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, all leased from Azorra Aviation, and expects to grow this number to nine by the end of 2025.

These Brazilian-made aircrafts are ideally suited for short to medium-haul routes and enable Scoot to serve markets with emerging or moderate passenger demand efficiently.

The Embraer planes had also been featured at the LIMA Airshow 2023 too.

With the continued rollout of its Embraer fleet, many aviation enthusiasts are hopeful that Scoot’s distinctive yellow-tailed E190-E2s will soon be spotted at more regional airports — including Penang — as the airline continues to broaden its footprint across the region.
