Come March 1, 2021, motorcyclists can use the roll-on/roll-off (Ro Ro) to cross the Penang Channel.
This is following the retirement of the Pulau Angsa ferry at the end of this month.
The Ro Ro which comes from Langkawi will be used temporarily until the catamaran comes in next year.
Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) will run the Ro Ro with the other ferry, Pulau Talang-Talang which will also be retired in September.
The Ro Ro is currently berthed at the Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda terminal on the island.
The Transport Ministry made a decision to discontinue the ferry services for four wheelers and passengers last December.
