PSC International Soccer 2024 press conference yesterday

Teams from New Zealand and Bali, Indonesia make their maiden appearance at the Penang Sports Club (PSC) – International Soccer 7s tournament 2024 to be held from March 2 and 3rd at the club fields.
This is the 23rd edition of the tournament since its inception in the year 2000.
Present to hold a press conference to share the latest updates on the tournament was acting organising chairman A. Balasubramaniam along with Dato Mohd Junid (Tournament director), C. Nadarajan (Technical chairman) and Pathumanathan (Advisor).
“The tournament started with only 12 teams in the early days and now we have teams from all over the world taking part in this prestigious event. This year, we have some 62 clubs registered and will participate in the Veterans / Masters / Grandmasters categories”, said Balasubramaniam.
He also added that the teams are from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Maldives and China.
Over the years, the tournament has become a premier event in the region.
“We will hold a gala dinner on the first day of the tournament where the State Exco for Youth, Sports and Health, YB Danial Gooi will attend.
“The tournament has also helped the state in terms of sports tourism as many of the participants will come with their family members over the course of the event.
“This is also the best time to see the former international players who have represented their countries”, said Bala who also called on football enthusiasts to turn up and support their teams.
