The Penang Housing Board “breaks new ground” when it undertakes the affordable home project in Bukit Gedung here.
The Milleannia @ Bayan Lepas will offer some 1,260 good quality homes for those who qualify from the lower income group.
This is in line with the Penang state government aspirations to ensure affordable homes for everyone.
The project will be undertaken by Hunza Properties Berhad.
On hand to announce the good news was State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo along with Hunza Properties group managing director Dato Khor Siang Gin.
“We will be embarking on yet another housing project at Bukit Gedung which will see 1,260 units of quality affordable housing for the people of Penang.
“The project is expected to be begin end of this year and completed by 2028 and we will see some nearly 6,000 people being housed in this project.
“This is part and parcel of our delivery to-date of almost 150,000.00 affordable units for Penangites.
“Congratulations to the Penang Housing Board for their 14 projects at this point in time for such Affordable Housing and also Urban Regeneration Programs.
“We will always prioritize such projects to benefit the community at large,” said Jagdeep.
He also toured the showroom to ensure that the standard and facilities at the new homes are up to expectation.
