Penang caretaker government’s Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow was among the first voters at the SJK C Hu Yew Seah along Madras Lane this morning.
He arrived sharp at 8am and took the queue to wait for his turn to enter the voting centre.
He was also joined by Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang, Deputy Education Minister Lim Hui Ying and candidate for N28 Komtar, Teh Lai Heng.
Members of the media had a field day snapping pictures and selfies with Chow who was also obliged to pose with members of the public.
Chow is having a busy day as he will be visiting other polling centres in Lebuh Light, Lebuh Farquhar, Muntri Street, Love Lane, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, Jalan Hutton and Jalan Anson.
Later this evening, he will be at the St Giles Wembley Hotel to await the official announcement of the state election results.
