Members of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Penang Chapter gathered in high spirits for their year-end dinner and networking session at the Bayview Hotel Georgetown, transforming the evening into a warm celebration of friendship and industry kinship.

The ballroom buzzed with lively conversation as familiar faces from Penang’s vibrant hospitality scene reconnected, hoteliers from beach resorts, city hotels and boutique properties all turning up in full force to mark the occasion.

Leading the gathering was their chairman Dato’ Tony Goh, accompanied by the chapter’s dedicated committee members, who welcomed everyone with heartfelt gratitude for their support throughout the year.

The atmosphere was relaxed yet festive, with laughter flowing as freely as the conversations.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous spread prepared by the hotel’s culinary team—an enticing mix of local Penang flavours and international favourites.

Aromatic dishes, beautifully plated appetisers and indulgent desserts added to the evening’s enjoyment, prompting animated exchanges about food, hospitality trends, and the challenges and triumphs of the past year.

As the night unfolded, the camaraderie among Penang’s hoteliers became the highlight. Colleagues shared stories, renewed collaborations and toasted to stronger bonds and continued success. It was more than just a dinner.

The gathering was a reminder of the unity and shared passion that drive Penang’s hospitality industry forward for the New Year 2026.
