In anticipation of the up-coming Visit Kedah Year 2025 (VKY 2025), the Malaysia Association of Hotels Kedah/Perlis Chapter hosted a meeting of general managers and hotel managers of the various hotels in mainland Kedah.
The gathering was held at the StarCity Hotel Alor Star here.
They were greeted by the MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter chairman Eugene Dass who is also the general manager of the StarCity Hotel Alor Setar.
The meeting was to prepare and draw up plans to ensure the success of VKY 2025.
Present was Roslan Othman, manager for the promotions for Kedah Tourism (Visit Kedah Year 2025), along with MAH Kedah/Perlis vice-chairman, Adrian Chua who is the general manager of Aloft Langkawi.
He was accompanied by Dave Anthony, hotel manager of Royal Agate Langkawi who is also the Honorary Secretary of MAH Kedah/Perlis.
Others present were Khairilnizam Othman, general manager of Grand Alora Hotel, Alor Star, Norfadzli Ahmad, hotel manager of The Jerai Hotel Alor Star, Ms Mavis Yeo Sales and Marketing manager of Park Avenue Hotel Sungai Petani along with her front office manager, Ms Phonthep and Siti Nazihan (MAH Kedah/Perlis Secretariat).
The session was also to deliberate on any issues faced by the hotels and find a speedy solution for the benefit of the members.
The gathering also served to introduce the new office bearers of MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter and networking session among the members.
“We are looking forward to VKY 2025 and working with the State government to elevate it as an alternative tourist destination.
“The various hotels and resorts are gearing up with their plans and arrangements to ensure the success of the VKY 2025”, added Eugene.
They were hosted to a splendid lunch courtesy of the StarCity hotel’s food & beverage team.
