Soon, visitors to the Esplanade can enjoy the greenery and lush plants at the  linear garden currently being set up by the Penang Island City Council.

This is part of the state government’s strategies for the green agenda to tackle climate change.

The 0.74 acre park is located just behind the cenotaph located at the Esplanade.

On hand to perform the ground breaking ceremony was the State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo along with Penang Island City Council Mayor Dato A. Rajendran.
