Another experienced hotelier in Penang , Lee Boon Kae has been promoted as the Senior General Manager at the Ascott Group Penang with effect February 2026.
Kae joined the Ascott Group in May 2021 as the Residence Manager .
His passion , dedication and strong leadership quickly stood out., leading to his promotion to General Manager in 2024.
As he embarks on this exciting chapter, Kae will assume oversight of all Ascott, Citadines branded properties, Harris Hotel & Convention, 1926 Heritage Hotel and The George Hotel in Penang.
Kae’s career journey is truly inspiring, beginning his career as a party planner , he steadily built his expertise and leadership capabilities, progressing through the ranks to become the Director of Food & Beverage and ultimately achieving senior general management.
His journey reflects what is possible through determination, continuous growth and a genuine love for hospitality.
