Experienced hotelier – Adrian Chua has been appointed the Area General Manager of the Bayview Group with oversight of lyf Georgetown Penang.
In this role, Chua will lead the impending rebranding exercise, providing strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure a smooth and well-managed transition, while safeguarding our people and assets.
He will work closely with owners, brand teams and key stakeholders to align project objectives, timelines and deliveries.
Chua brings with him extensive experience in the hospitality industry underpinned by a strong operational foundation and a people-centric leadership approach .
His career journey is both inspiring and exemplary – beginning as a waiter, he progressed steadily through the ranks, building deep operational expertise and leadership capability.
He has since held senior roles including the Director of Operations and as General Manager.
With hands-on experience across multiple operational roles, Chua is well positioned to lead the team, drive operational excellence and support the continued growth and performance of the properties.
Among the industry recognition he has won is the Malaysia’s Best General Managers (Hospitality) citation by CMO Asia.
