The management team of Kompleks Bukit Jambul (KBJ) hosted its annual Chinese New Year dinner at W World Restaurant yesterday evening.
Approximately 400 guests, comprising KBJ mall outlet owners, merchants and business partners gathered for the vibrant celebration. Leading the festivities were KBJ chairman Dato’ KH Chan along with Azmin Saduruddin, chairman of JMB KBJ, together with their respective team members.
“It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to our Chinese New Year dinner. We are delighted to see a full house tonight,” said Chan in his welcoming address. “This evening is not only about celebration, but also about building momentum and strengthening KBJ’s position as a lifestyle destination.”
Chan highlighted the mall’s growth, noting a steady increase in food and beverage as well as entertainment outlets. He also revealed plans to transform the fifth floor into a premier sports arena featuring eight badminton courts, two pickleball courts and a bowling alley.

“We are also working closely with the state government to inject more energy and vibrancy into the mall,” he added.
Following his speech, guests participated in the traditional Lou Sang tossing ceremony, symbolising good fortune and prosperity for the year ahead.
The evening continued with a lively band performance and an exciting lucky draw.

One of the standout highlights was a captivating Face Mask Changing performance by an artist from Sichuan, China, which left the audience in awe. Other programme highlights included interactive games, a festive Chinese New Year dance performance and a Best Dressed competition too.
The joyous celebration reflected KBJ’s strong community spirit and its continued commitment to growth and engagement with its stakeholders.
