Gurney Plaza launched its “Mekar Raya Aidilfitri” with traditional setting, decorations and a burst of wonderful Bunga Raya, Hibiscus and other flowers deco.

Present was the mall’s Selina Ng (Head of Retail), Peter Chan (general manager) and Tourism Malaysia Northern Region Director Shahrul Aman.

The decorations set up at their main atrium is a celebration of the profound beauty of Malaysian heritage, harmony and unity.

This year, the mall has put up an impressive theme of the national flower – Bunga Raya, along with pelita raya, ketupat and seasonal highlights.

Then, there is also the enchanting hibiscus garden for shoppers to wander and also take memorable pictures.

As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, the mall has also set up a drop off box for the benefit of the Mutiara Food Bank. Shoppers can donate food items to help the needy and underprivileged.

Throughout the promotion, guests will be entertained by traditional performances,  community activities and the Hari Raya band to showcase the diverse Malaysian culture and tradition.

Among the highlights include the Batu Seremban Experience workshop, Coconut Leaf Ketupat making workshop and Community Batik Painting workshop, Musik Gamelan workshop and the joget dance performances. 

Do look out for the Eye of the Tiger Photographic exhibition which is dubbed to be the World’s Largest International Tiger Photography showcase.
