The timeless charm of Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening as guests gathered for an exclusive Marqués de Cáceres Spanish Wine Dinner recently.
Against the backdrop of Pantai Cenang’s spectacular sunset, the event celebrated the heritage of one of Spain’s most acclaimed wineries, bringing together fine wines, exceptional cuisine and warm Malaysian hospitality in a truly memorable island experience.
Each wine was thoughtfully paired with a specially curated dinner prepared by Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi’s culinary team, allowing the flavours of both the cuisine and the wines to shine in perfect harmony. The relaxed beachfront ambience, complemented by gentle live music, swaying coconut palms and the soothing sound of the Andaman Sea, encouraged guests to linger over every course while enjoying lively conversations and new friendships. It was an evening that celebrated not only outstanding Spanish wines but also the art of bringing people together over exceptional food and hospitality.

Beyond the wine dinner itself, Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi continues to elevate the guest experience through its thoughtful enhancements while preserving its signature Malay village-inspired architecture. The resort’s recent upgrades have successfully blended contemporary luxury with traditional charm, ensuring that every corner of the property retains its tranquil tropical character.
A standout feature of the transformation is the resort’s beautifully renovated pool area. The new Horizon Pool and the Horizon Cafe offers a sophisticated retreat complete with a 45-metre lap pool, jacuzzis, stylish cabanas and a vibrant children’s splash zone, while the popular Cascade Pool continues to provide a more leisurely atmosphere with its swim-up bar and lush tropical surroundings. Together, these refreshed recreational spaces have become vibrant gathering points where guests can relax throughout the day before transitioning seamlessly into sunset cocktails or elegant evening dining.
Whether hosting internationally recognised wine events such as the Marqués de Cáceres Wine Dinner or welcoming holidaymakers seeking an idyllic island escape, Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi continues to define luxury hospitality in Langkawi.

Meanwhile, the evening was presented by S.H. Maju Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits Sdn Bhd, the evening showcased an impressive portfolio of Marqués de Cáceres wines. Guests were guided through six carefully selected labels, beginning with the refreshing Marqués de Cáceres Cava Brut, followed by the crisp Verdejo DO 2025, the elegant Deusa Nai Albariño Rías Baixas DO 2024, the expressive Crianza DOCa 2021, the refined Reserva DOCa 2019, and culminating with the prestigious Gaudium Reserva DOCa 2020.
The wines were introduced by German Rubiales Regordan, Export Sales Manager of Marqués de Cáceres, who travelled from Spain to share insights into the winery’s rich heritage and winemaking philosophy. German (Herman) had earlier made a stopover in Kuala Lumpur for a similar wine dinner and was off to Kota Kinabalu for another wine session.
