Expert Cuban cigar roller Dariel Fournier Hernandez showcased his talents to a select few at the Habanos Lounge at the Vino Vino Bistro in Bayan Lepas recently.
Dariel had graduated from the cigar rolling course in ETT Francisco Perez Germa “Partagas” cigar factory in 2006.
He comes with 13 years of experience as the master cigar roller in the trade.
Darile is capable of rolling cigars in different sizes and shapes and the quality of his work is exceptional judging from the response of the enthusiasts.
As such, he carries out cigar rolling demonstrations overseas on a regular basis.
Among his travels include visits to countries in the Asia Pacific region and this is his first visit to Malaysia with stop-overs in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Guests had a first hand view of Dariel’s abilities to roll cigars and many took the opportunity to take selfie with the master.
“I love rolling cigars and travelling as it gives me an chance to meet new people, experience new cultures and visit new countries.
“Before coning into this profession, I did not know that Cuban cigars are so popular around the globe,” said Dariel with his limited English mastery.
Vino Vino Bistro organises such gatherings like wine, whisky, sake, soju tasting and other experienced based activities to mentor and tutor like-minded enthusiasts in these vocations.
