Car enthusiasts are in for an adrenaline-charged weekend as the Penang Auto Xperience (PAX) transformed the Setia SPICE Arena into a full-throttle automotive playground. From the latest high-tech EVs to growling combustion beasts, the event drew crowds of gearheads eager to get up close and personal with the machines shaping the future of mobility.

The arena pulsed with energy as exhibitors, sponsors, influencers and die-hard petrolheads converged under one roof. Showstoppers included sleek performance icons from McLaren, Mercedes-Benz and BMW—each drawing its own circle of wide-eyed fans and phone-wielding content creators.

Adding to the excitement, the event was officially launched by State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Wong Hon Wai, who praised PAX for firing up Penang’s creative and automotive landscapes.

“The Penang Auto Xperience arrives at the right time. PAX represents more than an automotive event; it captures the innovative and experiential spirit of Penang,” he said.

“As our infrastructure evolves, events like PAX grow in importance, connecting the automotive lifestyle industry with tourism, retail, digital content creation and the broader creative economy.

“I am especially encouraged by PAX’s integration of digital creativity through the Content Creator Competition, which empowers young talents to tell Penang’s story through their own artistic lens.”

Wong later joined PAX organising committee members Aleex Quah and Rodney Lee in ceremonially kicking off the event, kicking off a weekend where engines roar, cameras clicking.
