Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas will offer nine-night cruises in Southeast Asia starting February 2023, with new shore excursions in Thailand and Vietnam, according to the cruise company.
“Vietnam and Thailand are hugely popular with our guests from Singapore – their distinctive food, culture and welcoming locals have made the countries a destination of choice for many, and we are thrilled to be able to explore the countries further, so travelers can fully experience the wonders and rich heritage of the Southeast Asian region,” said Ms Angie Stephen, vice president and managing director, Asia-Pacific, Royal Caribbean International.
“We continue to work closely with governments in the region to connect our guests with new destinations, adventures, and experiences, and to become a gateway for fly-cruisers from around the globe looking to experience the excitement of Southeast Asia.”
Guests aboard the Spectrum of the Seas will have the opportunity to enjoy shore excursions in Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My) as well as explore different cultures, historical sites and street food in Vietnam and Thailand.
In Nha Trang, travelers can enjoy snorkeling among corals or taking a dip in a mud bath, enjoy seafood in the capital of Vietnam and admire the architecture of the historic temples in Phu My.
The Spectrum of the Seas will also sail three- to five-night sailings to Thailand (Phuket) and Malaysia (Penang and Port Klang), as well as new itineraries to China and Japan in 2023 and 2024.
The ship will also offer activities for all ages. Highlights of the cruises include Asian-inspired dining at Teppanyaki, Sichuan Red and Hot Pot including private dining rooms and lounges. Additionally, guests can enjoy Royal Caribbean’s signature activities at the SeaPlex, the skydiving simulator, RipCord by iFly, North Star and the FlowRider surf simulator.
