Calling all aspiring hoteliers, here’s your chance to further your career in the hospitality industry and move up the ladder by attaining a recognized certification and qualification.
For the very first time, the Certified Hospitality Manager (CHM) workshop organized by the Aariana Hospitality International and the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) will be held in Penang and Langkawi.
The Penang CHM session will be held in Georgetown, Penang from February 27 to 29, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Langkawi CHM session will be held from March 5 to 7, 2024.
The Penang and Langkawi sessions will be conducted by Dr Jimmy Chow who has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He is currently managing his hotel consultancy company called Hotel Concepts Consultancy. Formerly, he was the Senior Vice-President for Operations with the Swiss Garden International which has eight hotels / resorts under the group.
Prior to that he was the Group General Manager for the Nomad Group where he was involved with the new opening of 5-star and 4-star Serviced Residences. He was also the Vice President for marketing in the Mines Resort City that comprises 2-five star hotels, a premium golf course, shopping mall, exhibition centre and a theme park.
The CHM has been developed especially for Resident Managers/Executive Assistant Managers/Directors of Operations/HODs/Assistant HODs who have at least 40% duties in management.
The three-day workshop includes an exam at the end with 100 multiple choice questions.
The package is being offered at an introductory fee of only RM3,900. (HRD Corp claimable).
There will also be a cocktail hosted on the last day by Aariana Hospitality International.

The closing date for submissions is Friday January 19, 2024 for the Penang session and January 31, 2024 for the Langkawi session.
