The Aspen Group carried out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project in conjunction with the recently concluded Thaipusam celebrations.
They invited a group of children from the Ramakrishna Ashram to join in the festivities and also presented them with goodie bags and treated them to a delectable spread of vegetarian cuisine.
Present was Aspen’s Executive Deputy Chairman, Dato’ Seri Nazir Ariff and Group Managing Director, Ir. A. Anilarasu.
Lending support was the state assemblyman for Pulau Tikus YB Joshua Woo.
Aspen’s commitment to multiculturalism and diversity was showcased through captivating LED dragon dance performances and Indian cultural performances, adding vibrancy to the event and fostering appreciation for different cultural traditions among the children.
The project was in line with Aspen’s dedication to community engagement and cultural celebration.
The event aimed to provide the children with a unique opportunity to experience the cultural richness of Thaipusam at Aspen’s beautifully adorned thanneer panthal or stalls.
The Thaipusam celebration takes on a carnival atmosphere with many from the corporate sector joining in the celebration with their own stalls to serve free food and drinks.
Commenting on the initiative, Ir. A. Anilarasu, Group Managing Director of Aspen, expressed, “We were excited to enhance our Thaipusam celebrations this year with this heartwarming CSR event. Our goal was to create a memorable experience for the children and contribute to the spirit of community and cultural appreciation.”
Aspen reaffirms its commitment to corporate social responsibility and looks forward to continuing initiatives that positively impact the communities it serves.
