Amari Johor Bahru, a 5-star hotel under the renowned ONYX Hospitality Group, hosted its annual staff party recently.
Some 170 team members along with hotel general manager, Ms Pauline Chua turned up in their best outfits.
Lending support was VIP guests from Bangkok, namely Harold Enrique Olaya Leon – ONYX Hospitality Group Senior Vice President, Head of Operations; Hazel Chua – ONYX Hospitality Group Senior Director, Operations Support; and Dennis Chong – Area General Manager, Shama Bangkok.
The opening gambit was put up by the students of Sekolah Seni Malaysia, Johor followed by an opening address by Chua.
This was followed by the official launch of the dinner joined by VIP guests.
As guests enjoyed the delectable buffet meticulously prepared by Executive Chef Hairi and his team, they were entertained by the soulful melodies of local singer Wan from 10 Papers Band.
Other highlights of the evening included the Amari Got Talent Singing Competition and the Couple’s Catwalk stage game which drew huge cheers from the audience.
The Best Dressed competition showcased Amari Johor Bahru’s team members and the presentation of the 2023 Outstanding Team Member of the Year Award which went to Fakhrurazi Abdul Razak from the F&B Department who stood out among the finalists.
Alfizan Hussen from F&B Department, Husin Jasni from Housekeeping and Harvinder Kaur from Engineering Department. Fakhrurazi received a certificate, trophy, RM1,000 cash, 3 days additional paid annual leave, and a 3 days 2 nights stay in any ONYX Hospitality Group Hotel.
The evening concluded on a high note with the customary lucky draw session which offered hotel stays in Malaysia and Bangkok and electrical appliances.
Finally, the team posed for the group photo to document the good times and fond memories at Amari Johor Bahru annual dinner.
