A joint corporate social responsibility (CSR) project was launched by Amari Johor Bahru, AirAsia JB Hub Cabin Crew and other partners like Ikhlas Travel, Mr. Lok Lok and Farm Fresh Malaysia to reach out to needy community at Kampung Sungai Danga and surrounding areas in Johor Bahru recently.
The initiative brought together 20 dedicated volunteers from AirAsia JB Hub Crew, 10 from Amari Johor Bahru who joined hands to provide essential items such as rice, cooking oil, flour, milk, and other daily necessities to families in the area.
The contributions benefited a total of 163 families from various areas, including Kampung Sungai Danga and also Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Temun, PPR Taman Perling, Kampung Tuah Jaya, and Kampung Orang Asli Bakar Batu.
These families, many of whom face economic challenges, were deeply grateful for the support received, as these essential items significantly alleviate their financial burden and enhance their quality of life.
Among the guests attending the event were Yb Dato’ Abdul Rashid Kasman, Chief Whip for Iskandar Puteri Local Council, Surip Abdullah, Kampung Sungai Danga Village Chief and Nur Maziah Abdul Razak, Deputy Director of Tourism Johor.

The itinerary for the day included the packing of food and onward flag-off of the convoy to reach out to the respective areas.
