
Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang, came alive with excitement during its Mini Fun Fair, held at the Adventure Zone beachfront in conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th National Day celebrations. The event attracted more than 1,000 children and parents, creating a lively atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit.
The beachfront was transformed into a vibrant playground featuring a range of family-friendly activities. Children enjoyed the massive bouncy castle, tested their skills at traditional games booths, and met their favourite characters during a special appearance by Cybertron.
A key highlight was the Children’s National Day Fashion Show, which featured more than 100 young participants dressed in colourful and creative traditional costumes representing Malaysia’s rich ethnic diversity. The showcase celebrated the country’s cultural heritage while highlighting the values of unity and harmony among the younger generation.

The indoor Children’s Colouring Contest also attracted enthusiastic participation, with young artists expressing their creativity through colourful and imaginative artwork.
The celebration concluded with appreciation for the families, performers, and crew members whose participation and support contributed to the success of the event. The Mini Fun Fair reflected the spirit of Merdeka by bringing people together through family entertainment, cultural appreciation, and a shared celebration of national unity.
