Capri by Fraser, Penang announced the appointment of Ms Joan Wong as their Director of Sales effective 15 July 2026.
Wong brings over nine years of experience in hotel sales, having built her career with renowned hospitality brands including DoubleTree Kuala Lumpur, Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur and DoubleTree Resort Penang.
Most recently, she led the Sales team at Mercure Penang Beach & Tanjung Point Residences before taking on her new role as Director of Sales at Capri by Fraser, Penang.
Throughout her career, she has recognized that successful sales extend beyond mere figures; they are built on fostering genuine relationships that endure long after transactions are completed.
Her guiding principle emphasizes the importance of understanding clients, supporting their growth, and maintaining warm, lasting relationships.
Outside of her professional commitments, Wong enjoys jogging, staying active through fitness and travelling.
She balances her pursuit of key performance indicators by day with her passion for exploring new cities and covering new distances in her free time.
Wong will report to general manager Ivan Khoo on all aspects of sales and operational matters of the hotel.
