As Spain celebrates its place in the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2026, another Spanish icon took centre stage in Langkawi. 

Marqués de Cáceres, one of Spain’s most respected wineries, hosted an exclusive wine dinner at Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi. 

The gathering was presented by S.H. Maju Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits Sdn Bhd and brought together wine enthusiasts and distinguished guests for an evening celebrating the renowned Spanish winery and its exceptional vintages.

More so as the wine tasting was set against the elegant backdrop of Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi and provided the perfect ambience for guests to savour a carefully curated dining experience paired with a selection of premium Marqués de Cáceres wines.

As guests took the opportunity to mingle and savour the fine wine range, they were hosted to a fancy dinner put out by the F&B Dept of the resort. On hand to showcase the fine wine range was German Rubiales Regordan, Export Sales Manager of Marqués de Cáceres all the way from Spain.

In all, he introduced six choices, namely the Marqués de Cáceres Cava Brut, Marqués de Cáceres Verdejo DO 2025, Marqués de Cáceres Deusa Nai Albarino Rias Baixas Do 2024,  Marqués de Cáceres Crianza DOCa 2021, Marqués de Cáceres Reserva DOCa 2019 and finally the Marqués de Cáceres Gaudium Reserve DOCa 2020.

The free flow of wine along with the gentle and nostalgic music in the backdrop also served as a pleasant setting for the evening. 

Among those in attendance were S.H. Maju Sdn Bhd’s managing director, Alfred Low, William Chong, Sales Director (Spirits) Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits Sdn Bhd, Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi general manager Neoh Kean Boon, the resort’s Resident Manager, Pierre Boudville, Ms Wong Ai Lin, Au Yong Hin Yoong, GM PARKROYAL Langkawi, along with invited guests and wine connoisseurs.

Meanwhile, Marqués de Cáceres was founded in 1970 and is based in Cenicero, the winery is renowned for producing elegant, award-winning wines that showcase the rich heritage of Spain’s Rioja region. Their wines are available in more than 130 countries.
