A team from the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), led by its CEO Ashwin Gunasekeran, recently paid a courtesy visit to the newly opened Fifth Avenue Hotel as part of its ongoing efforts to explore and evaluate venues suitable for business events and conferences in Penang.
The delegation was warmly received by Ms Michele Lim, Jo Tan, and their team, who provided an insightful tour of the property and its facilities.

During the visit, the PCEB team was introduced to the hotel’s modern offerings, which include well-appointed guest rooms (240 rooms) designed for both business and leisure travellers, as well as versatile meeting and event spaces equipped with contemporary audiovisual technology.
The hotel also features a range of amenities such as dining outlets, recreational facilities, and convenient access to key commercial and tourist areas, making it a potential choice for hosting corporate meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).

The engagement allowed both parties to exchange views on potential collaboration opportunities, with PCEB gaining a better understanding of how Fifth Avenue Hotel could support Penang’s growing business events industry.
The visit reflects PCEB’s continued commitment to strengthening partnerships with local hospitality stakeholders and ensuring that Penang remains a competitive and attractive destination for international and regional events.
