As Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches, the season invites moments of reflection, gratitude, and care for one another. Embracing the true spirit of Raya, Sunway Carnival Mall carried out a meaningful community initiative as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
Present at the handing over ceremony was Chai Wen Yew, Senior General Manager, Sunway Carnival Mall, David Foong, Marketing Executive, Sunway Carnival Mall along with Mohamad Firdaus Elias Vice Chairman, Masjid Sembilang, Zaharuddin Zakaria, Secretary, Masjid Sembilang and Haji Fadzillah Abd Rauf, Treasurer, Masjid Sembilang.
Today (19 March 2026), the mall presented 300 packs of Jasmine Sunwhite Rice (1kg each) to Masjid Sembilang, a mosque located just a short distance from the mall. The contribution is intended to support the mosque’s outreach and welfare activities, helping ease the festive preparations for families within the surrounding community.
Located in the heart of Seberang Jaya, Sunway Carnival Mall has long seen itself as more than a retail destination. As it shares daily rhythms with the people and communities around it, this Raya initiative reflects that close relationship, rooted in the belief that even small gestures can carry quiet significance.
“Raya reminds us that joy is most meaningful when shared,” Mr. Chai Wen Yew, Senior
General Manager of Sunway Carnival Mall shared. “Through this contribution, we hope to offer support in a simple yet heartfelt way, and to stand alongside our community as they welcome the festive season.”
As the month of Syawal draws near, Sunway Carnival Mall remains committed to nurturing connections that extend beyond commerce; creating space not only for shopping and celebration, but for kindness, compassion and collective care throughout the year.
