The Hard Rock Hotel Penang announced its new rockstar appointments to their dynamic band, in its aim to propel the popular Batu Ferringhi hotel to greater heights.
The new but experienced taking up their new roles
An industry veteran, Elangovan will be responsible for the hotel’s entire restaurant operations including all on-property outlets – two restaurants, three bars and a VIP access lounge.
He is also responsible for overseeing room service and playing a key role in facilitating hotel events, weddings and corporate meetings.
“I am looking forward to new challenges at the Hard Rock Hotel Penang and with the new F&B team will delivery to the guest satisfaction expectation,” he said.
A career-driven and passionate hotelier, Elangovan spent a decade carving his career from a service team leader to an assistant director of food and beverage at the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts before taking on a leading role as director of food and beverage at Holiday Inn Resort Penang prior to his new role at Hard Rock Hotel Penang.
With a proven track record of great team management and coaching skills, Elangovan now leads a team of dedicated service crew members and aims to undertake a new challenge to organising a robust team that works together seamlessly offering the best dining experience possible for all guests.
As for Yeoh, she will assist in overseeing the overall hotel’s talent acquisition and retention goals in her new role.
With considerable experience in talent management, Yeoh will be responsible for the hotel’s strategic framework within human resources with a particular focus on talent management, improving employee benefits and career path, leadership development, and further refinement of the hotel’s unique culture.
Yeoh had previously undertaken a similar role in G Hotel, Copthorne Orchid Hotel and Holiday Inn Resort.
