New MOA president Prof Dr Tengku Muzaffar Md Shihabudin

Prof Dr Tengku Muzaffar Tengku Md Shihabudin is the new president of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA).
He will be replacing out-going president Prof Dr Tunku Kamarul Zaman.
Prof Tengku Muzaffar is presently attached to the USM Hospital in Kupang Kerian in Kelantan.
He had started his career in 1997 as a trainee at the General Hospital in Kota Baru.
In 2004, he then pursued his master in orthopaedics and qualified as an orthopaedic specialist.
His vision as the new president of the MOA is to improve the quality of service throughout the country.
“I would also like to enhance the knowledge and networking of our members to serve the country better.
“Once each doctor updates his or her knowledge, they can serve the public better,” he said to Penang Hyperlocal.
The Malaysian Orthopaedic Association’s 52nd MOA Annual Scientific Meeting 2023 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre where some 2,000 delegates, participants and industry players gathered recently.
Other than local delegates, delegates from 17 countries from the Asian Region, Korea and the United Kingdom made their presence.
The Malaysian Orthopaedic Association is the oldest and largest fraternity of orthopaedic surgeons in Malaysia with a membership of 700 practitioners.
