It will be another gold and jewellery galore when the Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornament Merchants Association (PWGS) holds its trade fair again.

This time around it will be held from May 31 to June 2 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre where more than 100 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors are expected to gather.

Foreign participation from Singapore and China are also participating. It should be noted that Malaysia is a premier jewelley hub of and ranks among the top 10 exporters of gold.

Present to announce the event was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai  Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekeran along with Dato’ Chiah Hock Yew, President of Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Associations of Malaysia (FGJAM) and Law Chin Hooi, President of Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornament Merchants Association (PWGS).

Also present was Saudah Mat Isa, director of MATRADE Northern Region office.

This year’s gathering will also feature their inaugural Business to Business (B2B0 and Business to Consumer (B2C) event.

“The event will serve to showcase Malaysia’s excellent craftmanship in gold and will feature the latest gold jewellery to demonstrate cutting-edge mechanical technologies.

“he PWGS 2024 is not only merely an exhibition but a celebration of of creativity innovation and collaboration within the industry.

“There will be fashion shows, business matching sessions, exhibitor showcase, expert seminars and more”. said Wong.

Meanwhile Ashwin added that the upcoming trade event is a testament to the Association’s

dedication to fostering unity among industry stakeholders and engaging jewellery enthusiasts.

“The fair features a meticulously curated program, offering valuable learning opportunities for all attendees, from the unveiling of the latest gold jewellery designs and more”. added Ashwin.
