The Vouk Hotel Suites in Penang has been given a new lease of life.
The 231-room hotel situated in the heart of Georgetown has undergone a management change.
Blanket Hotel Sdn Bhd will now manage the property and expect to open it’s doors to guests when the restriction on inter-state travel is lifted.
“We are awaiting for the Movement Control Order (MCO) to be suspended and the inter-state travel is possible.
“In the meantime, we are making preparations to do in- house housekeeping and recruit essential staff for the various departments.
“We also give priority to the old staff of the Vouk Hotel to keep their jobs,” said Ieja Hindon Salleh who is the general manager for both the Bahang Bay Hotel and Vouk Hotel.
Meanwhile, among the food and beverage plans are to offer set lunch and dinner packages.
“Not forgetting are buka puasa promotions as the fasting month (bulan puasa) will be coming soon.
“We will also open the rooftop bar which will offer a perfect venue to catch the sunset every evening.
“We will be ready to cater for MICE events and weddings,” added Mariana Omar, the director of sales and marketing.
She also added that the group will now offer the option for guests to stay either in a beach front setting or the city setting.
Meanwhile, the Blanket Hotel group has a 40-room hotel in Seberang Perai and another hotel in Kajang.
They also plan to put up a new 60-room hotel in Jalan Baru on the mainland.
