Irrespective of race or religion, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society working with a temple committee In Ayer Itam brought cheer to the needy in conjunction with Deepavali celebrations tomorrow.
The event was held the Kuil Om Sakthi Muneswarer in Ayer ItamPenang as part of the charity programme for the needy.
Lending support was Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society Comissioner Dato Dato Khoo Boo Leong along with ACP A.A Anbalagan.
Also present were the committee members of the temple.
They presented food baskets along with two wheel chairs for the benefit of an individual and also for the community centre there.
Another female participant who is undergoing cancer treatment received additional food supplements too.
The corporate social responsibility ( CSR) project will surely bring some cheer to the needy folks in the community in Ayer Itam.
