The enchanting atmosphere at the St. Regis Langkawi served as an idyllic setting for the “Dégustation Dinner with Champagne Taittinger and Château Lascombes” held yesterday evening.
The fine evening was held at the 5-star resort’s Kayuputi restaurant.
On hand was Mr. Ronan de la Moriais, the APAC Export Director of Champagne Taittinger and the new general manager of the resort, Derek Gomez and his team to welcome and host his guests.
He explained the finer details and complexities and process of making the renowned champagne brand.
The session started with the sampling of Taittinger Brut Reserve served with Chilled Tomato Cappuccino & Fine De Claire Oyster followed by Atlantic Crab Mousseline & Cured Beetroot Trout. The amazing taste of these dishes went well with the fine champagne.
For the discerning diner, the Smokey Foie Gras Terrine was next on the menu paired with the Taittinger Prelude Grand Crus and the Baked Cod Fish served with the Taittinger Comtes De Champagne Blancs de Blanc 2012.
As guests thought these were the highlights, came the Wagyu MG6 Fillet served with the premium Chateau Lascombes Margaux Zeme Grand Cru Classe 2013 or the Lamb cutlet.
As for desserts, the Sweet & Savoury Mother Earth and the Apple Sable Breton Tart were the highlight.They came with the Taittinger Nocturne to complete the fine evening.. .
