The Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta 2022 kicked off from Nov 18 to Nov 26, 2022 from the Royal Selangor Yacht Club in Port Klang.
Among the yacht clubs lending support are the Royal Selangor Yacht Club, Port Klang, Puteri Bayu Beach Resort, Pulau Pangkor, Straits Quay Marina, Pulau Pinang and Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, Pulau Langkawi.
Some 32 boats, 320 sailors from 20 countries participated in the Raja Muda
Selangor International Regatta this year.
The launching of Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta 2022 was officiated by Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin, the Crown Prince of Selangor at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club in Port Klang.
This year is the 32nd Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta being hosted.
The Raja Muda’s yacht named “Venture” was also part of the race.
The event is also a platform for foreign participants to promote culture, arts, and heritage while helping to enhance the state’s tourism sector.
While in Penang, the delegation were treated to a fine buffet dinner at the Penang heritage district Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi.
On hand was the State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Yeoh Soon Hin. He also handed over prizes for the winners.
Meanwhile, corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities like a river cleaning programme, trishaw race, and FAM Trip Programme, with interested participants.
The race is also part of the “Splendid Selangor, Take Me Anywhere Campaign” that is promoted by Tourism Selangor.
