The Lone Pine, Penang, A Tribute Portfolio Resort hosted its first Christmas tree lighting ceremony since becoming a member of the Marriott International group.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, VIPs and esteemed partners, was a magical celebration that brought the holiday spirit to life.
Leading the guest list was Penang Deputy Chief Minister 11, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, his wife Madam Belinda and resort owner, Madam Sharon Ooi
Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Tourism Malaysia, MAH Penang, as well as members of the media and industry colleagues were also present.
The evening commenced with heartwarming Christmas carolling by the talented individuals
from Penang Cheshire Home, setting the tone for a night of joy and festivities.
Guests were serenaded with melodious tunes, creating an atmosphere filled with the warmth of the holiday season.
The highlight of the evening was the grand Christmas tree lighting ceremony by the resort owner,
Madam Sharon Ooi, YB Jagdeep and general manager, Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai; a breathtaking moment that illuminated Lone Pine with the enchanting glow of Christmas lights.
As the switch was flicked, the towering Christmas tree sparkled, signaling the official start of the holiday season.
Penang Cheshire Home returned to treat the audience to another enchanting round of
Christmas Carolling, adding a touch of charm and tradition to the event.
Local musician, Wan Andre, also known as “Mr. Saxophone,” graced the celebration with a soulful saxophone performance, while the energetic tunes of the Revolution Band filled the air with infectious joy.
To complete the festive experience, all guests were treated to light refreshments at The Forum
Lounge, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. The joyous occasion provided a
perfect backdrop for networking and celebrating the spirit of Christmas with friends, partners
and the community.
