The Light Hotel Penang introduces its new Hotel Manager, Mohd Hamidi Haron who took office effective the middle of last month.
Another new head of department is David Soo who is the Director of Sales and Marketing with effect Oct 2 2023.
Mohd Hamidi comes with more than 25-years experience in the hospitality industry.
His prior postings include Bali, Indonesia, Pengerang, Johor, Sibu Island Resort, Genting Highlands, hotels in Saudi Arabia and other foreign destinations.
“I take this posting as a blessing and hope to bring The Light Hotel Penang to a higher level,” said Mohd Hamidi to Penang Hyperlocal.
Meanwhile, Soo comes with 35-years in the sales and marketing industry from the Shangri-La Group in the likes of the Rasa Sayang Resort, Golden Sands Resort, Traders Hotel (new JEN Hotel, Evergreen Laurel Hotel and quite recently, at the G Hotel.
General manager, Raj Kumar welcomed both new colleagues to the Light Hotel family.
Presently, the Light Hotel has also upgraded its ballroom with its new carpet flooring to serve its customers better.
In conjunction with the new carpet launching, the hotel is also holding a promotion from Mondays to Thursdays for groups of 200 persons or more at RM78+ to host their buffet lunch or buffet dinner functions.
